If you're set on a business trip, as many people are, um, that's work. And because you're out of town, even if you're at the hotel at night, if you're at a business dinner, if you're at a company softball game, at a picnic or something, you're covered. My daughter was just on a business trip, and somebody she knew had actually fallen when they were there. And I said, "That's actually workers comp." And it doesn't matter if you're actually working at the time of the injury. If you're coming back from dinner and you fall down a flight of stairs or something, you're still covered by a worker's comp. Once you're on a business errand, you're on a trip, that is considered to be part of your job. Okay? Um, whereas if you were going home after work, you wouldn't be covered.

If you're actually if you're covered, uh, to a greater degree, if you're traveling, because the entire trip is considered a work trip and you would be covered. We've had clonets who've gotten severely injured on on planes, uh, all kinds of things where they're out of the country, in the country, in different states, and it's, you know, it they are covered. And a lot of times people don't think to to file a claim, and we've we've seen some very significant injuries from people who've been on business trips. And, you know, again, this is why speaking to an attorney is so important. These are things that I would tell you that they're black and white to me, right? There's no gray area here. However, um, people tend to ignore those things. And believe me, employers and insurance companies aren't necessarily going to push you to protect yourself. They may not even know. Sometimes employers don't even realize that their employees are covered on business trips. So, again, it's so important to know your rights, to avail yourself of consultations with attorneys, and to just make sure that you're protected with with everything that goes goes forward.
