So, it's funny that you asked that question. So, people ask me all the time, you know, you must see all these dangerous jobs and these crazy injuries. And we do, and we see some horrific injuries on construction sites, some terrible car accidents, but on a consistent basis, I I have to I have to be honest with you, I think being a home health aid uh may be the most dangerous profession as far as so many people getting hurt on a regular basis. Think about it. You're dealing with people who very
00:00:28
often can't care for themselves, who are dead weight, who who have, you know, you're unfamiliar with the premises. You're dealing with family members who sometimes get involved. There are assaults, but just moving a patient who's not able to care for themselves, we see back injuries, shoulder injuries. And what's really sad, I I I think it's terribly sad is we'll have a lot of cases where home health aid will get hurt in the middle of the night. And there's nobody there to take care of
00:00:55
them because she they're there to take care of the of the patient. So, they'll be there all night, or their or their company will say, "Hey, I'm so sorry that you broke your leg. I can't get anybody to you for 8 hours, and no, you can't call an ambulance." And our clients will sit there suffering for hours until somebody comes to relieve them or help them. Uh it is a very tough job, and it's one of those those funny jobs where you don't think that it's a
00:01:17
dangerous job, and it's not dangerous in the way we think of danger, but as far as as risk to your body, it is a very dangerous job. And and we see that a lot. And and as our population ages, obviously, there's more and more home health aids, and they're not trained very well, and it's a it's a very very difficult job.
